• Private Practice Psychotherapist and Consultant – Specialization in emotional health and well-being, and quality of life for mid-life and older adults and families. Provide strategies, best practices, talk therapy, crisis management consultation, and mindfulness training. Community educator on awakening aging. Consultant and resource for social service professionals, health providers, and families around the world.
• Marchi & Smith Care Management – Psychotherapist and Care Manager for older adults (including clients with early and mid-stage dementia) and families. Provided counseling and consultation sessions in-home, in-facility, on the telephone, and in-office. Served as an advocate and communications facilitator with multidisciplinary client support teams.
• Marin County Community Mental Health Older Adult Programs – Psychotherapist and group facilitator for midlife and older adults and families. Counseling and care management consulting services provided in-home, in-facility, and in-office. Taught classes for volunteer counselors on elder abuse prevention, suicide prevention, family systems therapy, and reminiscence therapy.
• Redwoods Retirement Community. Psychotherapist and group facilitator for older adult individuals, couples, and families. Provided counseling and consultation for residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing units and their families. Provided on-call Crisis Care Management for 150 Independent Living residents. Facilitated three resident support groups. Provided in-apartment, skilled nursing, assisted living, and office visits.
• Center for Attitudinal Healing. Psychotherapist and group facilitator for midlife and older adult clients and families. Facilitated a free weekly support group for older adults at Whistlestop Senior Center. Counseling and consultation sessions provided in-home, in-facility, in-office, and on the telephone.
• Family Service Agency of Marin – Suicide, Crisis, and Grief Counseling. Suicide and grief counseling telephone hotline counselor.
• Hospice by the Bay – Patient Care Volunteer – provided emotional support for end-of-life patients in private homes and in skilled nursing settings.

• Planet Rx – Vice President, Online Communities. Developer and director of social media division for online pharmacy and health sites.  Hired and directed 30 on-site and remote staff. Created illness-specific online support groups and events for 12 communities including depression.com, malaria.com, aids.com, alzheimers.com, obesity.com, diabetes.com, disease.com, heal.com, mednews.com.
• Digital City, Inc. (Joint Venture: AOL/Tribune Co.) – Business Development Director. Managed and expanded content, social media, and vendor relations for a regionally-focused site serving 500,000 Bay Area subscribers.
• America Online – Director, Women’s Programming. Recruited by AOL President to design and launch the first AOL Women’s Channel as a value-add for over 7 million female subscribers. Hired and managed staff, spearheaded content and design development, and managed social media, events, and marketing campaigns.
• Women.com, Founder, and Vice-President.  Co-founder of the first commercial, women-focused website. Directed a hugely successful brand-building campaign including $60 million in public relations, media and marketing, and vendor and content relationships. Spearheaded social media development. Received a grant from the California Public Utilities Commission to teach computer skills to 50 California non-profit agencies serving low-income women of color.  Selected by Fortune Magazine as one of “Coolest High-Tech Companies”. The company was later acquired by Hearst New Media.
• Whole Earth ‘Lectronic Link (The WELL) – Project Manager. Designed and managed business development strategies, technical documentation, and domestic/international customer relations for the legendary pioneering online community.
• The Farm Clinic, Summertown, Tennessee – EMT, Medic & Birth Doula. Served as a medic in a rural clinic, providing emergency medical care, hospital and infirmary care and support, and prenatal, birthing, and postnatal care.
• Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation, New York – EMT class co-instructor. Co-taught NY State certified Emergency Medical Technician training and licensure classes for tribal members on the Akwesasne reservation in upstate NY.
